Why Obama Is Evil

Please take less than six minutes to listen to this video and you will know why I consider Barack Obama an evil man. Obama still supports this type of abortion. This is why NO CHRISTIAN can support him for President. He is guilty of genocide and if he doesn't repent, he and all those that support abortion rights will feel the flames of hell.

A Prophetic Warning To America

It is time to repent America. You have drifted far off course from your Christian foundations. Do not think that you are so mighty that you can withstand the judgment of God. You can be brought down in a day. In 24 hours every thing you hold dear can be taken away from you. You are perilously close to this destruction. The hand of God is about to come against you. You have been abandoned by the Almighty but you are about to have God as your enemy. If you allow the killing of innocent babies to continue, their cries will fill heaven with a call for justice. If you allow God's plan for marriage established in the Garden of Eden to be mocked by the hell bound, God will come against you. The economy will collapse; your national defense will not be able to protect you from China. This is your last opportunity to repent. You have allowed the godless to rule. The church has been asleep and not done her best to protect America from the attacks of the wicked one. Church, you also need to repent for straying from the truth of the Gospel. It is about salvation from sin and not about your personal happiness or fulfillment. You, the church have exchanged the truth of the Gospel for the lie of life now. You have taken the easy way and refused to pay the price. But now the price will be paid by the faithful.

To the faithful: just as Joshua and Caleb were protected in the wilderness so will the disciples of Jesus Christ be protected if they remain faithful to the end. Stand strong in the face of immorality; stand against all unrighteousness and stand for the holiness of God. You will be delivered but not without suffering from the hands of the ungodly. God will not abandon the faithful.

More Great Quotes To Consider

Please note the first quote and its comment about simplicity (then re-read yesterday's post). May these quotes encourage and convict you if necessary:

"We are not called to proclaim philosophy and metaphysics, but
the simple gospel. Man's fall, his need of a new birth, forgiveness
through atonement, and salvation as the result of faith, these are
our battle-ax and weapons of war." - C. H. Spurgeon

"Knowledge is not about what information you have obtained but
how you use it." - Korbin Wallace

"Wrong attitudes in our lives will block the blessings of God and
cause us to live below God's potential for our lives."
- John Maxwell

"What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters
compared to what lies within us."- Ralph W. Emerson

"Indeed, if we consider the unblushing promises of reward and the
staggering nature of the rewards in the Gospels, it would seem
that Our Lord finds our desires not too strong, but too weak. We
are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and
ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who
wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot
imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are
far too easily pleased." - C.S. Lewis

"Men don't follow titles, they follow courage, and if you would just
lead them, they would follow you forever, and so would I."
- Braveheart

"Lord, help me learn the secrets, that the little flowers know. That
if it never rains, we will never grow." - known

"If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can
satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for
another world." - C. S. Lewis

"But the Christian thinks any good he does comes from the Christ-
life inside him. He does not think God will love us because we are
good, but that God will make us good because He loves us; just
as the roof of a greenhouse does not attract the sun because it is
bright, but becomes bright because the sun shines on it." - C.S. Lewis

"Dear Friend,
God loves you, therefore seek Him diligently;
Pray to Him earnestly. Read His Word constantly.
Jesus is the Comfort."
- Evan Roberts

"Wanna know if Jesus Christ is THE ONLY WAY to heaven???
.....Ask the lost souls in hell!!" - unknown

"The thought of procrastination is murder to the soul."
- Charles G. Finney

"Nothing is too big for my God to accomplish, and nothing is too
little for Him to use in accomplishing it!" - Unknown

How Simple Is Your Gospel?

The other day I had to spend a lot of time in my car driving. I turned on a Christian station to listen to some Bible teachers. After about 30 minutes, I became so discouraged by what I had been listening to, that I turned it off. There was a tremendous amount of what is called "proof texting." This is a term that refers to taking a verse of Scripture out of context to prove some point. In the programs I listened to, the point they wanted to prove was that I needed to purchase a Cd series that would help me to live a blessed life and fulfill my divine destiny. I began to talk to God about how I thought His message was simple and not complex. Matthew 13:44 says: "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field." Now there are two ways to interpret this passage; I want to focus on the one that explains that the man is the one seeking the truth of the Gospel. When he discovered the treasure of the Gospel, he sold all he had to purchase it. There was nothing in the world that was worth as much as the treasure of the Kingdom of Heaven. It was a simple process; give up all you have for the one most important thing, the Gospel of Jesus Christ

The Peoples New Testament Commentary explains the verse as follows: "Valuables which, with us, are entrusted to banks, are in the East buried in fields and gardens to save them from robbers and accidents. This parable teaches the immense value, priceless, of the gospel; and that one who finds out that value will give up everything else in order to possess himself of the privileges and hopes of the kingdom."

Today, I ask you: "Have you given up everything to receive the treasure of the Gospel?" You can not purchase the treasure by a short prayer, joining a church or by doing good works. You only get the treasure of the Kingdom of Heaven when you forsake all and follow Jesus. The treasure is for all that will come having forsaken the things of the world. Do you have the treasure today? If you do, thank God for the precious gift of Jesus; if not, drop the allurements of the world and obtain the treasure by trusting completely in the shed blood of Jesus. It really is very simple.

A Biblical Description Of Hell

The following is a Biblical description of hell. We need the prophets of today to stand and proclaim the truth about hell. All those who are not disciples of Jesus Christ will enter hell as their final destination. The prophets must stop being "seeker sensitive," "purpose driven," and "your best life now." The size of your crowd matters not to God; what does matter to God is the truth of your message. We must not fear the rejection of man; we must fear God Almighty if we fail to preach the truth about hell. Do you know someone who is headed to this place of torment; if so, please describe to them their ultimate destination:

A place of weeping and gnashing of teeth - "And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth" (Matthew 25:30).

A place of outer darkness - "Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth" (Matthew 22:13).

A place of torments - "And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom" (Luke 16:23).

A place of Sorrows - "The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me;" (2 Samuel 22:6).

A place of everlasting destruction - "Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;" (II Thessalonians 1:9).

A place where men are tormented with fire and brimstone - "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death" (Revelation 21:8).

A place where fire is not quenched - "Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched" (Mark 9:44).

A bottomless pit - "And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit" (Revelation 9:2).

A place of no rest - "And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name" (Revelation 14:11).

It is ultimately a lake of fire - "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death" (Revelation 20:14).

A place of hopeless of unsatisfied desires - "And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame " (Luke 16:24). The rich man wanted water but could not get any.

A place of hopelessness and suffering. Imagine having no hope for eternity.

A place of memory - When a person is tormented with a bitter memory they sometimes may commit suicide as a way out. In hell this is impossible because your spirit will never die, but will always remember how you sold your soul for the pleasures of this short sinful life. You will continue to always wish you were in heaven instead of hell, if only you would have made the right decision.

If you are not following Jesus Christ, do you know how dangerously close you are to hell. With each moment that passes by, you are drawing nearer and nearer to hell. Actually this night your soul may be required of you and will pass into an eternity of the fires of hell that are never quenched!

Who are some that are headed to hell: the homosexuals, the abortion advocates, the drunkards, the fornicators, the church members that have not Christ, and the "good people" who are without Jesus Christ. Cry out to Him in repentance today and ask Jesus Christ to save you from this place called hell!

32 Babies Saved From Abortion!

Troy, Ohio)—Stand True, Christ-centered and Pro-life, just wrapped up their Pro-life Day of Silent Solidarity on Tuesday, Oct. 21. As of this morning Stand True has been contacted by students about 32 babies who have been saved. Students around the country are telling us about girls who changed their minds and chose life after reading literature or talking to pro-life students yesterday.

"I spent most of last night choking back the tears as I started to hear back from students," said Bryan Kemper, President of Stand True Ministries. "The stories kept coming in about girls deciding to keep their babies and hearts being changed."

Students from over 4,700 campuses in 25 countries took part in this life changing event yesterday. Here are just a few of the comments we have received this year:

"I attend a Baptist college so I knew I wouldn't get much of a chance to spread the word, so after my last class I went down to the mall and was there for about 20 minutes before a group of teenage girls walked up to me and asked what I was doing. I handed them a paper and one started to cry. I took off the tape and asked what was wrong. I found out that 2 of those girls had just set up an appointment for an abortion. We sat and talked for almost an hour; it was clear that God was at work. Not only did these girls cancel the appointment but I had the privilege to lead them to the Lord."

"There was another woman considering abortion, so again I broke my silence and had a 15 minute tear-session/convo with her and she too opted for adoption! I'm so far beyond ecstatic and I am yet again radically affected by this!"

How To Pray For Your Brothers and Sisters In Christ

The following story from the life of "Praying Hyde" provides instruction in how to pray for others in the church. How might our fellowships be impacted if this approach was adopted? Read the following excerpt and compare it to your prayer life:

Mr. Hyde had a wonderful experience to
which he owed, I believe, his power with God, and
therefore with man. He used to speak of it as one
of the most direct and solemn lessons God ever
taught him. He was up in the hills resting for a
short time. He had been burdened about the spiritual
conditions of a certain pastor, and he resolved to
spend time in definite intercession for him. Entering
into his "inner chamber" he began pouring out
his heart to his Heavenly Father concerning that
brother somewhat as follows: --
"O God! Thou knowest that my brother now is"
-- ("cold" he was going to say) when suddenly a
hand seemed to be laid on his lips, and a voice said
to him in stern reproach, "He that toucheth him,
toucheth the apple of mine eye." A great horror came
over him. He had been guilty before God of "accusing
the brethren". [Rom 2:15] He felt rebuked and
humbled before God. It was he himself who first
needed putting right. He confessed this sin. (He
claimed the precious blood of Christ that cleanseth
from all sin!) [1 John 1:7] "Whatsoever things are
lovely ... if there be any virtue, if there be any praise,
think on 'these things.'" [Phil 4:8]

Then he cried out, "Father, show me what
things are lovely and of good report in my brother's
life." Like a flash he remembered how that brother
had given up all for Christ, enduring much
suffering from relations whom he had given up!
He was reminded of his years of hard work, of
the tact with which he managed his difficult
congregation, of the many quarrels he had healed,
of what a model husband he was. One thing after
another rose up before him and so all his prayer
season was spent in praise for his brother instead
of in prayer. He could not recall a single petition,
nothing but thanksgiving! God was opening his
servant's eyes to the highest of ministries, that
of praise.

Mark the result also on that brother's life:
When Mr. Hyde went down to the plains, he found
that just then the brother had received a great
spiritual uplift. While he was praising, God was
blessing. A wonderful Divine Law, the law of a
Father's love. While we bless God for any child
of His, He delights to bless that one!

This was the secret of John Hyde`s power with
God. He saw the good in God's little ones, and so was
able to appreciate God's work of grace in that heart.
Hence he supplied the heavenly atmosphere
of praise in which God's love was free to work in
all its fullness.

A Must Read For Black Evangelicals

I have made some very strong statements about those that support Obama for President. However, I admit that as a white person I cannot begin to understand what it must mean to the black community to have someone like Obama run for the highest office in the land. The other day while at Barnes and Noble, I saw a young black child about 8 years old with his mother looking at books. He saw one with Obama on the cover and he said, "Mom, look it is Mr. Obama!" He said it with such pride that it caused me to stop and look at this election with a bit more compassion. Prior to Obama, most black children were restricted to sports figures or musicians as role models; however, now with Mr. Obama there is a well educated family man as a role model. As a white man over 50, I cannot imagine what Mr. Obama running for President means to that young child. That being said, it is with a heart of compassion that I ask black evangelical Christians to please read the following article by Huntley Brown. Mr. Brown is a black musician who is also a Christian. I don't know much about him except what he writes in the article below. If you know a black Christian that is supporting Obama, please have them read this post.

Dear Friends, A few months ago I was asked for my perspective on Obama, I sent out an email with a few points. With the election just around the corner I decided to complete my perspective. Those of you on my e-list have seen some of this before but it's worth repeating...

First I must say whoever wins the election will have my prayer support. Obama needs to be commended for his accomplishments but I need to explain why I will not be voting for him.

Many of my friends process their identity through their blackness. I process my identity through Christ. Being a Christian (a Christ follower) means He leads I follow. I can't dictate the terms He does because He is the leader.

I can't vote black because I am black; I have to vote Christian because that's who I am. Christian first, black second. Neither should anyone from the other ethnic groups vote because of ethnicity. 200 years from now I won't be asked if I was black or white. I will be asked if I knew Jesus and accepted Him as Lord and Savior.

In an election there are many issues to consider but when a society gets abortion, same-sex marriage, embryonic stem-cell research, human cloning to name a few, wrong economic concerns will soon not matter.

We need to follow Martin Luther King's words, don't judge someone by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I don't know Obama so all I can go off is his voting record. His voting record earned him the title of the most liberal senator in the US Senate in 2007.

NATIONAL JOURNAL: Obama: Most Liberal Senator in 2007 (01/31/2008)

To beat Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton as the most liberal senator, takes some doing. Obama accomplished this feat in 2 short years. I wonder what would happen to America if he had four years to work with.

There is a reason Planned Parenthood gives him a 100 % rating. There is a reason the homosexual community supports him. There is a reason Ahmadinejad, Chavez, Castro, Hamas etc. love him. There is a reason he said he would nominate liberal judges to the Supreme Court. There is a reason he voted against the infanticide bill. There is a reason he voted No on the constitutional ban of same-sex marriage. There is a reason he voted No on banning partial birth abortion. There is a reason he voted No on confirming Justices Roberts and Alito. These two judges are conservatives and they have since overturned partial birth abortion. The same practice Obama wanted to continue.

Let's take a look at the practice he wanted to continue

The 5 Step Partial Birth Abortion procedures:

A. Guided by ultrasound, the abortionist grabs the baby's leg with forceps. (Remember this is a live baby) B. The baby's leg is pulled out into the birth canal. C. The abortionist delivers the baby's entire body, except for the head. D. The abortionist jams scissors into the baby's skull. The scissors are then opened to enlarge the hole. E. The scissors are removed and a suction catheter is inserted. The child's brains are sucked out, causing the skull to collapse. The dead baby is then removed.

God help him. There is a reason Obama opposed the parental notification law.

Think about this: You can't give a kid an aspirin without parental notification but that same kid can have an abortion without parental notification. This is insane.

There is a reason he went to Jeremiah Wright's church for 20 years.

Obama tells us he has good judgment but he sat under Jeremiah Wright teaching for 20 years. Now he is condemning Wright's sermons. I wonder why now?

Obama said Jeremiah Wright led him to the Lord and discipled him. A disciple is one in training. Jesus told us in Matthew 28:19 - 20 'Go and make disciples of all nations.' This means reproduce yourself. Teach people to think like you, walk like you; talk like you believe what you believe etc. The question I have is what did Jeremiah Wright teach him?

Would you support a White President who went to a church which has tenets that said they have a ...

1. Commitment to the White Community 2. Commitment to the White Family 3. Adherence to the White Work Ethic 4. Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the White Community. 5. Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting White Institutions 6. Pledge allegiance to all White leadership who espouse and embrace the White Value System 7. Personal commitment to embracement of the White Value System.

Would you support a President who went to a church like that?

Just change the word from white to black and you have the tenets of Obama's former church. If President Bush was a member of a church like this, he would be called a racist. Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton would have been marching outside.

This kind of church is a racist church. Obama did not wake up after 20 years and just discovered he went to a racist church. The church can't be about race. Jesus did not come for any particular race. He came for the whole world.

A church can't have a value system based on race. The churches value system has to be based on biblical mandate. It does not matter if itʼs a white church or a black church it's still wrong. Anyone from either race that attends a church like this would never get my vote.
>Obama's former Pastor Jeremiah Wright is a disciple of liberal theologian James Cone, author of the 1970 book A Black Theology of Liberation. Cone once wrote: 'Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him.

Cone is the man Obama's mentor looks up to. Does Obama believe this?

So what does all this mean for the nation?

In the past when the Lord brought someone with the beliefs of Obama to lead a nation it meant one thing - judgment.

Read 1 Samuel 8 when Israel asked for a king. First God says in 1 Samuel 1:9 'Now listen to them; but warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will do.'

Then God says

1 Samuel 1:18 ' When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, and the LORD will not answer you in that day.' 19 But the people refused to listen to Samuel. 'No!' they said. 'We want a king over us. 20 Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles.' 21 When Samuel heard all that the people said, he repeated it before the LORD. 22 The LORD answered, 'Listen to them and give them a king.'

Here is what we know for sure.

God is not schizophrenic

He would not tell one person to vote for Obama and one to vote for McCain. As the scripture says, a city divided against itself cannot stand, so obviously many people are not hearing from God.

Maybe I am the one not hearing but I know God does not change and Obama contradicts many things I read in scripture so I doubt it.

For all my friends who are voting for Obama can you really look God in the face and say; Father based on your word, I am voting for Obama even though I know he will continue the genocidal practice of partial birth abortion. He might have to nominate three or four Supreme Court justices, and I am sure he will be nominating liberal judges who will be making laws that are against you. I also know he will continue to push for homosexual rights, even though you destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for this. I know I can look the other way because of the economy.

I could not see Jesus agreeing with many of Obama's positions. Finally I have two questions for all my liberal friends.

Since we know someone's value system has to be placed on the nation,

1. Whose value system should be placed on the nation.

2. Who should determine that this is the right value system for the nation?

Blessings, Huntley Brown

The Necessity of Unity

Yesterday I had the privilege of teaching an academic seminar on the Biblical Foundations of American Law. As the class began to respond to some of the issues, it became readily apparent that there was genuine disagreement among the participants about a number of issues. The disagreement was expressed in a kind and loving manner. I saw a great truth during the class. We can honestly disagree with each other without creating a division. That is a key issue; now more than ever the church needs to be united on the central truth of discipleship. Jesus said in Mark 8:34 "And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me."

If we as the church will follow this simple command, we will be a powerful testimony to a lost world. There are many reasons today for the church to "take the bait" and live in strife. We need to follow Jesus' words and follow Him. William Burkitt wrote of following Christ as follows:
"Let him follow me, says Christ: that is, obey my commands, and imitate my example. He must set my life and doctrine continually before him, and be daily correcting and reforming his life by that rule and pattern."

The Church must answer this call for discipleship. Forget economics, promises and rhetoric; seek to follow Jesus in this political election. Vote values; vote holiness and vote righteousness. Pray that God would bring about His desired end and bring the church to a place of unity in Him. The church needs to unite; the world needs the church to unite and we need to unite. It can occur if we will become true disciples of Jesus Christ as opposed to "church members."

Some Good Advice

In The Imitation of Christ by Thomas a Kempis, it is written:

"HE WHO follows Me, walks not in darkness," says the Lord. (John 8:12) By these words of Christ we are advised to imitate His life and habits, if we wish to be truly enlightened and free from all blindness of heart. Let our chief effort, therefore, be to study the life of Jesus Christ.

The teaching of Christ is more excellent than all the advice of the saints, and he who has His spirit will find in it a hidden manna. Now, there are many who hear the Gospel often but care little for it because they have not the spirit of Christ. Yet whoever wishes to understand fully the words of Christ must try to pattern his whole life on that of Christ.

What good does it do to speak learnedly about the Trinity if, lacking humility, you displease the Trinity? Indeed it is not learning that makes a man holy and just, but a virtuous life makes him pleasing to God. I would rather feel contrition than know how to define it. For what would it profit us to know the whole Bible by heart and the principles of all the philosophers if we live without grace and the love of God? Vanity of vanities and all is vanity, except to love God and serve Him alone.

This is the greatest wisdom -- to seek the kingdom of heaven through contempt of the world."

Sheldon wrote in his fictional work In His Steps, that before we acted we should ask ourselves, "What would Jesus do?" Now more than ever, we the church, should ask ourselves that question. No aspect of our life should be exempt from that inquiry. As we face uncertainty in our elections, economy and terrorism, let us focus on our individual walk with Jesus Christ and all the other trivial happenings of life will adjust accordingly.

Are You Holy?

J.C. Ryle wrote the following in his work entitled Holiness:

"Holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord" (Hebrews 12:14).
The text which heads this page opens up a subject of deep importance. That subject is practical holiness. It suggests a question which demands the attention of all professing Christians: are we holy? Shall we see the Lord?
That question can never be out of season. The wise man tells us, "There is . . . a time to weep, and a time to laugh, . . . a time to keep silence, and a time to speak" (Ecclesiastes 3:4, 7); but there is no time, no, not a day, in which a man ought not to be holy. Are we?
That question concerns all ranks and conditions of men. Some are rich and some are poor, some learned and some unlearned, some masters and some servants; but there is no rank or condition in life in which a man ought not to be holy. Are we?
I ask to be heard today about this question. How stands the account between our souls and God? In this hurrying, bustling world, let us stand still for a few minutes and consider the matter of holiness. I believe I might have chosen a subject more popular and pleasant. I am sure I might have found one more easy to handle. But I feel deeply I could not have chosen one more seasonable and more profitable to our souls. It is a solemn thing to hear the Word of God saying, "Without holiness no man shall see the Lord" (Hebrews 12:14).

Friend, I ask the same question today: are you holy? If you are not, I ask you by what hope you intend to see the Lord in eternity as Savior? If you claim to be holy, I ask you by what merit you are holy? Any answer than by the blood of Jesus Christ is a false answer that dooms you to an eternity away from His loving Presence. With the elections just days away, are you going to be holy with your vote? Have you sought the mind of God concerning your choice? Or, are you voting your personal pocketbook? Only the holiness of God should be your guide. Be holy because He is holy and has commanded our holiness. This is for our entire life and not just a segment. Holiness is not piecemeal; it is all or nothing. May you find truth through the sanctifying power of Jesus Christ today!

God Still Does Miracles!

The next time you doubt God's ability and desire to bring you through something, remember this true story reported by Breaking Christian News. God has not quit the miracle business, especially to those with child like faith.

Pawhuska, Oklahoma)—Sometime between midnight and 1:30 in the morning on October 3, Tracy (Ali) Tuller, 23-month-old daughter of Shanna and Robert Tuller, crawled out of her bed and slipped out her parents' home outside of town.

"That night was my birthday, and my husband and I put the children to bed and stayed up late in the living room. When I went to check on the kids at 1:30 that morning before we went to bed, Ali wasn't in bed," said Shanna. "We have five children, and three of them were at home that night. We woke up the two boys, and frantically searched the house. She just wasn't anywhere."

Within minutes of calling 911, scores of people were combing the area for Ali. According to a report in the Pawhuska Journal Capital the search lasted until nearly 4 a.m., when a rescue worker named Gibbie Gibson found the little girl standing in the middle of a pond about a mile from her home.

"He walked out to get her, and the water was well up past his waist," said Shanna. "When he got to her, though, the water wasn't even up to her waist, and she wasn't standing on anything. It had to have been God holding her up. Gibbie was in shock when he saw it, and really had no explanation other than a miracle."

Not only that, but throughout the night searchers also reportedly came across two cougars, a pack of coyotes, and even killed a copper head snake. According to the report, everybody—except Ali—was muddy, scratched up, and wet from the big storm that rolled through the area.

"She went out without her shoes on, walked all that distance, and even had to cross two barbed wire fences to get to where they found her," said Shanna, who was convinced "there had to be at least 60 or 70 people out searching for her that night, and after it was all over, they were all in worse shape than Ali. My daughter wasn't even scared; she was just out for a walk."

"There is not a doubt in my mind that God was with her, watching over her that night," continued Shanna. "God must have a special purpose for Ali. Our only guess as to why Ali was in the pond is that God must have put her there to keep her away from the cougars. I hope this story touches people, because it has certainly touched our lives. There is a God out there, and He is watching over all of us. God was definitely with Ali that night."

Obama's Abortion Record

If America elects Obama to the highest office in our land, I believe that you will see a series of judgments on our land. This man has a plan to promote and expand abortion rights. He is very dangerous. He will stop at nothing to insure the right of the murder of the unborn. Pray for his soul as he is headed to hell along with his followers. His statements at the debate were designed to cover his true agenda. WorldNetDaily reports the following regarding Obama's statements at the Wednesday night debate on his vote to deny medical care for babies that survive an abortion attempt:

Sen. Barack Obama lied in last night's debate about his opposition to an Illinois bill aimed at protecting an infant who survives an abortion, charges the nurse who instigated the legislation.

Jill Stanek, a WND columnist, launched her work as a pro-life activist after witnessing the death of an infant who survived an abortion but was left untreated.

In a column today, she asserts that last night, in the third and final debate with GOP rival Sen. John McCain, Obama "obfuscated his radical record of abandoning abortion survivors to die in hospital soiled utility rooms."

The subject was raised by McCain.

"Sen. Obama, as a member of the Illinois State Senate, voted in the Judiciary Committee against a law that would provide immediate medical attention to a child born of a failed abortion. He voted against that," the GOP senator said.

Obama responded, arguing the Born Alive Infants Protection Act, which he opposed, "said you have to provide lifesaving treatment and that would have helped to undermine Roe v. Wade."

"LIE," writes Stanek. "BAIPA simply stated all born alive babies became legally protected persons immediately upon birth, no matter what gestational age and no matter if unwanted abortion survivors."

Continues Stanek, "Obama further obfuscated his radical record of abandoning abortion survivors to die in hospital soiled utility rooms by adding 'there was already a law on the books in Illinois that required providing lifesaving treatment. ...'

"LIE," Stanek writes. "Illinois abortion law to this day only protects abortion survivors their abortionist deems fit to live. The potential for subjective assessments in these cases is clear to all but Obama. In fact, Obama opposed closing this loophole by voting against legislation to mandate a second doctor be present at deliveries of all live abortion survivors to independently assess their viability."

She notes Obama not only opposed the state's proposed protection for infants, "he took a leadership role to kill it. His website still contains an ABC News quote from the Illinois Planned Parenthood CEO at the time stating 'Obama approached her' to strategize to defeat BAIPA as well as the Partial Birth Abortion Ban. Barack Obama actually sought out PP to help him defeat a bill protecting abortion survivors."

"Finally, for four years Obama lied about his record opposing BAIPA. In 2003 he voted against an identical version that passed 98-0 in the U.S. Senate and for which the pro-abortion group NARAL even expressed neutrality," Stanek writes.

"He then purported several times, as recently as August 16, 2008, that the bills were not identical and he would have supported the Illinois version had it been the same as the federal version. This was yet another LIE, which Obama's campaign finally had to recant after his actual vote tally from the Illinois General Assembly archive was posted online," she writes.

"I'm beyond disgusted that Obama continues to repeat the same lies without MSM (mainstream media) investigating and denouncing him. We'll see what tomorrow brings," Stanek says.

Obama, during an appearance with McCain at Rick Warren's Saddleback Church in California earlier in the campaign, refused to answer specific questions about his views on abortion.

Asked by Warren at what point a baby "gets human rights," the Democrat did not answer.

"Well, I think that whether you are looking at it from a theological perspective or a scientific perspective, answering that question with specificity, you know, is above my pay grade," he said.

Obama has sought to cast his abortion voting record as moderate, but as WND has reported, it sometimes has gone beyond what even the National Abortion Rights Action League has desired.

WND earlier reported on transcripts of Obama's statements during his tenure in the Illinois state legislature revealing his support for what amounts to infanticide.

Arguing against the Illinois Born Alive Infant Protection Act in 2002, after even Planned Parenthood had dropped its opposition, Obama expressed concern that the bill might burden abortionists, reported blogger Erick Erickson on RedState.com.

Erikson, noting Obama was the only lawmaker to speak out against the protective measure, summarized the senator's concern this way: "Let's trust the guy who just botched the abortion to determine whether or not he actually did botch the abortion."

According to the transcript, Obama said:

As I understand it, this puts the burden on the attending physician who has determined, since they were performing this procedure, that, in fact, this is a nonviable fetus; that if that fetus, or child – however way you want to describe it – is now outside the mother's womb and the doctor continues to think that it's nonviable but there's, let's say, movement or some indication that, in fact, they're not just coming out limp and dead, that, in fact, they would then have to call a second physician to monitor and check off and make sure that this is not a live child that could be saved.
WND also reported an ad by the Obama campaign that attacked an abortion survivor.

Obama's commercial took shots at the GOP campaign, calling McCain's ads "the sleaziest ever, truly vile." But when the screen showed clips of abortion survivor Gianna Jessen and the ad she made asking Obama to reverse his stance on born alive infant protection legislation, the Obama ad calls Jessen's appeal "a despicable lie."

The attack on Jessen has angered pro-life advocates.

"It is despicable, repulsive and beneath contempt that Barack Obama would attack Gianna Jessen," said Stanek in a statement on Jessen's website. "She is a courageous abortion survivor and living miracle who would not be with us today if Obama's policies had been in place when she was born."

Jessen herself released a statement saying, "Mr. Obama is clearly blinded by political ambition given his attack on me this week. All I asked of him was to do the right thing: support medical care and protection for babies who survive abortion – as I did."

Something Chilling

Last night I looked at the third Presidential debate between Senators McCain and Obama. At one point, the issue of abortion came up. To me it was absolutely chilling to hear Obama discuss his position on abortion. When he spoke about the "right" of a woman to choose, it was overwhelming to me that he could speak of choice so casually as a right to murder. Innocent children will be aborted today, and if elected to the White House, Obama will insure that the right to kill the unborn is absolutely protected by signing federal legislation removing all restrictions on abortion. America, wake up! We are permitting the murder of innocent children in the name of convenience and choice. There is a special place for Obama and his followers in the flames of hell. Anyone who could so easily speak of choice in the manner that he did has a heart that is hardened and petrified. Christians we need to pray that he is stopped; he must not win this election. The next President will select two or three Supreme Court Justices which will determine the future of the Supreme Court for years to come. Roe v. Wade must be reversed. "Dear God, save us from Obama and his evil followers that seek to destroy what is left of the morality of this nation!"

More Great Quotes To Inspire You

These were sent to me and I trust they will inspire you as you walk with Jesus Christ:

"When I pastored a country church, a farmer didn't like the
sermons I preached on hell. He said, 'Preach about the meek and
lowly Jesus.' I said, 'That's where I got my information about hell.'"
- Vance Havner

"It is one of the ironies of the ministry that the very man who works
in God's name is often hardest put to find time for God. The
parents of Jesus lost Him at church, and they were not the last
ones to lose Him there." - Vance Havner

"Where God builds a church the devil builds a chapel." - Martin Luther

"Folks, it's getting late and it's getting serious." - David Wilkerson

"Are we not told to seek first the Kingdom of God --- not the
means to advance it --- and that 'all these things' shall be added
to us? Such promises are surely sufficient." - Hudson Taylor

"Our prayers often resemble the mischievous tricks of town
children, who knock at their neighbors' houses and then run away;
we often knock at heaven's door and then run off into the spirit of
the world. Instead of waiting for entrance to be granted, we act as
if we were afraid of having our prayers answered." - Williams

"But from where shall I fetch my arguments? With what shall I win
them? O that I could tell! I would write to them in tears, I would
weep out every argument, I would empty my veins for ink, I would
petition them on my knees. O thankful should I be if they would be
prevailed with to repent and turn." - Joseph Alleine.

"Today, we are living in desperate times. Yet, the Church is not
desperate before God in prayer." - Chuck Smith

"Now, if the church ever recovers the power to break up demonism
in the community, it will bring down the wrath of evil and the
church may land in jail, but she'll learn how to sing in prison, pray
down an earthquake. Folks are asking "Will the church go
underground?" Well, she may develop more power underground
than she's got above ground these days. We're not going to pray
down earth quakes in committee meetings, sipping coffee and
reading the minutes of the last meeting." - Vance Havner

"My Lord was pleased to die for my sins; why should I not be glad
to give up my poor life out of love for Him?" - Girolamo Savanarola

"But is not the ground naturally bad in every heart? Undoubtedly.
And can any but God make it good? None. But it is your business,
when you hear of the justice and mercy of God, to implore him to
work in you that which is pleasing in his sight. No man shall be
condemned because he did not change his own heart, but
because he did not cry to God to change it, who gave him his Holy
Spirit for this very purpose, and which he, by his worldly-
mindedness and impiety, quenched. Whoso hath ears to hear let
him hear: and may the Lord save the reader from an impenitent
and unfruitful heart!" - Adam Clarke on Matt 13:23

"Instead of preaching the good news that sinners can be made
righteous in Christ and escape the wrath to come, the gospel has
degenerated into the pretext that we can be happy in Christ and
escape the hassles of life." - Ray Comfort

"Suppose I were a lawyer, and should go into court and spread out
my client's case, the issue is joined, and I make my statements,
and tell what I expect to prove, and then call in my witnesses. My
first witness takes his oath, and then rises up and contradicts me
to my face. What good will all my pleading do? I might address
the jury a month, and be as eloquent as Cicero, but so long as my
witnesses contradicted me, all my pleading would do no good.
Just so it is with a minister who is preaching in the midst of a cold,
stupid, and God-dishonoring church. In vain does he hold up to
view the great truths of religion, when every member of the church
is ready to swear he lies." - Charles Finney

You Can't Sue God!

The Omaha World Herald reports:
You can't sue God if you can't serve the papers on him, a Douglas County District Court judge has ruled in Omaha.

Judge Marlon Polk threw out Nebraska Sen. Ernie Chambers' lawsuit against the Almighty, saying there was no evidence that the defendant had been served. What's more, Polk found "there can never be service effectuated on the named defendant."

Chambers had sued God in September 2007, seeking a permanent injunction to prevent God from committing acts of violence such as earthquakes and tornadoes.

The senator said today that he is considering an appeal of Polk's ruling.

"It is a thoughtful, well-written opinion," Chambers said. "However, like any prudent litigator, I want to study it in detail before I determine what my next course of action will be."

Polk dismissed the lawsuit with prejudice, which means it can't be refiled. But his ruling can be appealed.

Although the case may seem superfluous and even scandalous to others, Chambers has said his point is to focus on the question of whether certain lawsuits should be prohibited.

"Nobody should stand at the courthouse door to predetermine who has access to the courts," he said. "My point is that anyone can sue anyone else, even God."

Chambers, a political independent who has served in the Nebraska Legislature for 38 years, said he decided to make that point after at least two attempts by other senators in the Legislature to limit "frivolous lawsuits."

"I was able to fend them off," Chambers said. "A lawsuit is not frivolous until a court declares it so."

The senator did have a day in court on the case. In August, he argued that Polk should take judicial notice of the existence of God. The senator cited the facts that U.S. currency says "In God We Trust," God is invoked during oaths in court hearings, and chaplains offer prayers before legislative bodies.

"If God is omnipresent," Chambers said in that August hearing, "then he is here in Douglas County and in this courtroom."

Polk was not persuaded.

His Tuesday ruling said Chambers' motion to take judicial notice of God "is denied as moot."

I suggest that Mr. Chambers has too much time on his hands and perhaps he should seek out some people with some real problems. Every community has people in need; we have a responsibility to go to them and assist them if we can. H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Everyday) is an excellent outreach of Victory Church in Virginia Beach, Virginia, that tries to do just that. On a positive side, I'm glad God won!

The Truth About Your Vote

The Augusta Chronicle reported:
"Black evangelicals voted overwhelmingly for Mr. Kerry in 2004. It could happen this year for Mr. Obama, because nearly 80 percent of the members of historically black churches identify as Democrats, said the Pew Forum's 2008 Religious Landscape Survey."

If the above quote is correct, eighty percent (80%) of the members of historically black churches have a serious spiritual problem. As the Presidential election draws near, it is time to speak the truth in love. Don't call yourself a disciple (follower) of Jesus Christ and support the Democratic ticket and that goes for ALL democrats. If they support the national platform, they should not be the choice of a Bible believing disciple. Democrats support abortion rights, gay marriage and the federal protection of both of these sins. You who call yourself a disciple of Jesus Christ and intend to vote for the genocide candidate Barack Hussein Obama, I want you to ask yourself, "What would Jesus do?" Would Jesus vote for a candidate that supports the killing of unborn babies? Would Jesus oppose the will of the Father concerning marriage being between one man and one woman? Do you seriously contend that Jesus, who knows infants formed in the wombs of their Mothers would sanction their destruction? You must vote for a candidate that is morally correct on these issues. Don't choose your skin color over Jesus Christ and the unborn. There are at least two (2) candidates that provide a Godly platform. John McCain and Chuck Baldwin both have the right stance on the moral issues of the today. Know this, you will not solve the economy or terrorism until you have the moral issues right. Make your vote count; but don't cast it for one that opposes the protection of the unborn or promotes an abomination before God. Don't be deceived.

The Bible Is The Only Truth You Can Trust

As we approach the Presidential elections in November, the media is out of control. For the most part it is biased and slanted toward the liberal agenda. There are conservative talk show hosts that provide the other side; however, they have an agenda also. It seems that the truth is getting harder and harder to find. Some good news is that the Holy Bible still is the truth. In it you will find all the answers you need for this life and the next one. The Bible truly is the "no spin zone." Our response as Christians is to put our faith in God and His Word and walk in obedience. Regardless of the outcome of the elections, here are some absolute truths:
1. God will still be God and on the throne.
2. God will still answer prayer.
3. There will still be only one way to heaven and that is through the redemption provided by Jesus Christ and His sacrifice.
4. Satan will still be a defeated foe.
5. The Holy Bible will still be His Word.
6. Sin will still be sin no matter what the government says.
7. We that are Christians will still be His children.
8. We will still trust in Him.
9. We will still have faith in Him and His Word.
10. Judgment Day is still coming for all.

Where Are The Prophets?

We need men and women to stand up today and bring a real prophetic word. It is time to stop playing games and saying "all is well" when it isn't. Pray for God to send modern day prophets to preach truth without compromise. The church in America needs a real prophetic word to shake it from its doldrums. America needs to hear the truth before it destroys itself with a liberal Godless agenda. Listen to the words of a 20TH century prophet A.W. Tozer:

A.W. TOZER on TRUE PROPHETS

Great industrial concerns have in their employ men who are
needed only when there is a breakdown somewhere. When
something goes wrong with the machinery, these men spring into
action to locate and remove the trouble and get the machinery
rolling again.

For these men a smoothly operating system has no interest. They
are specialists concerned with trouble and how to find and correct it.

In the kingdom of God things are not too different. God has always
had His specialists whose chief concern has been the moral
breakdown, the decline in the spiritual health of the nation or the
church. Such men were Elijah, Jeremiah, Malachi and others of
their kind who appeared at critical moments in history to reprove,
rebuke and exhort in the name of God and righteousness.

A thousand or ten thousand ordinary priests or pastors or teachers
could labor quietly on almost unnoticed while the spiritual life of
Israel or the church was normal. But let the people of God go
astray from the paths of truth and immediately the specialist
appeared almost out of nowhere. His instinct for trouble brought
him to the help of the Lord and of Israel.

Such a man was likely to be drastic, radical, possibly at times
violent, and the curious crowd that gathered to watch him work
soon branded him as extreme, fanatical, negative. And in a sense
they were right. He was single-minded, severe, fearless, and these
were the qualities the circumstances demanded. He shocked
some, frightened others and alienated not a few, but he knew who
had called him and what he was sent to do. His ministry was
geared to the emergency, and that fact marked him out as different,
a man apart.

To such men as this the church owes a debt too heavy to pay.
The curious thing is that she seldom tries to pay him while he lives,
but the next generation builds his sepulcher and writes his
biography, as if instinctively and awkwardly to discharge an
obligation the previous generation to a large extent ignored...

[-From the Foreword to Leonard Ravenhill's "Why Revival Tarries".]

I pray that some will answer the call. God send us prophets!

More Great Quotes To Inspire You

These quotes were sent to me and I wanted to pass them along with prayer that they might encourage you today. In these times of trouble, pay close attention to Corrie Ten Boom's words.

"It is wonderful what God can do with a broken heart, if He gets all
the pieces."
–Samuel Chadwick

"Worrying is carrying tomorrow's load with today's strength--
carrying two days at once. It is moving into tomorrow ahead of
time. Worrying doesn't empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties
today of its strength." - Corrie Ten Boom

"We will never receive if we ask with an end in view; if we ask, not
out of our poverty but out of our lust. A pauper does not ask from
any other reason than the abject panging condition of his poverty,
he is not ashamed to beg. Blessed are the paupers in spirit."
- Oswald Chambers

"To be effective the preacher's message must be alive; it must
alarm, arouse, challenge; it must be God's present voice to a
particular people." - A.W. Tozer

"Whatever He says to you, do it." - Mary

I told God something the other day that I'd like to pass on to you.
I said, "God I know where I belong. I know I belong in hell. I know, I
know I belong in hell...but God, I want to tell you something...If I go
to hell, You'll have one lamb in hell. If I go to hell, You'll have one
man there singing Your praises. If I go to hell, You'll have one man
that won't keep his mouth shut. Gonna run all around that dark
place tellin' how good God is and how wonderful is the blood of the
Lamb." - A.W. Tozer

"Revival cannot be organized, but we can set our sails to catch
the wind from heaven when God chooses to blow upon His people
once again." - G. Campbell Morgan

"The human heart is most deceitful and desperately wicked. Who
really knows how bad it is? But I know! I the LORD, search all
hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due
rewards, according to what their actions deserve." - Jeremiah 17:9-10

"Our Lord has told us how love to Him is to manifest itself. 'Lovest
thou Me? Feed My sheep - identify yourself with My interests in
other people, not, identify Me with your interests in other people.'"
- Oswald Chambers

"There is something infinitely better than doing a great thing for
God, and the infinitely better thing is to be where God wants us to
be, to do what God wants us to do, and to have no will apart from His."
- G. Campbell Morgan

"Wherever you are, be all there. Live to the hilt of every situation
you believe to be the will of God...Let not our longing slay the
appetite of our living." - Jim Elliot

"Have you any days of fasting and prayer? Storm the throne of
grace and persevere therein, and mercy will come down." - John Wesley

somebody would have given him a bed and a sandwich and he
never would have gone home." - Vance Havner

We Need To Be Still

I sense that there are major battles taking place in the spiritual realm. So much is at stake: our nation's future direction, our national economy and the global repercussions. This is a time for the believer to come before the Lord and be still and seek Him. We need to remember that God is faithful and He will not desert us. I wrote in today's devotional one way to come before Him:

One of the methods that I have found successful is to find a quiet place away from distractions. Get comfortable, either by sitting in a chair or standing, and begin to meditate on a small passage of Scripture. For example, recently I focused on the phrase "God is faithful" from 1 Corinthians 10:13. Over and over I thought about God's faithfulness. I thought about how faithful He had been to me over the years even when I was disobedient to Him. I thought about His faithfulness to those I had read about in the Bible. I spoke and thought the words: "God is faithful." After 15 minutes of doing nothing more than think about His promise of faithfulness, I was now ready to petition Him for "our daily bread." Just as God provided manna, i.e. daily bread, for the children of Israel in the wilderness, He would also provide our daily bread today. Why? Because He is the same faithful God.

This is not a time to be fearful; it is a time to draw close to God and battle on our knees. God is faithful and we His people must draw closer to Him now more than ever before. Future generations (if there are any) will look back to this time and the life they have will have been impacted by what we do. Let us answer the call to pray, fast and be still before God. Psalm 46:10 says: "Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth."

The Beginning of a One World Government?

As you read this editorial, do you get the sense that you are being threatened if you believe that Obama is not right for America? Since when do we decide who to vote for based on the "opinion of the world?" Does any of this sound like the beginning of a one world government? A New World Order? I believe that there are major spiritual forces at work in this election. With evidence of voter fraud becoming exposed through ACORN's work, our very system of democracy is under attack. Of course, that is not the real issue; it is just a battleground for that issue. What is the real issue? The real issue is whether America will repent and turn back to its Christian foundations. Does the candidate you support stand for Bible based beliefs or is the Bible being twisted to allow sin to be accepted and protected? Read the following editorial and ask yourself, "is there more at stake than just a Presidential election?"

Subject: An editorial from Britain A succinct editorial from Jonathan Freedland of the British newspaper "The Guardian" on the upcoming US election."If Sarah Palin defies the conventional wisdom that says elections are determined by the top of the ticket, and somehow wins this for McCain, what will be the reaction? Yes, blue - state America will go into mourning once again, feeling estranged in its own country. A generation of young Americans - who back Obama in big numbers - will turn cynical, concluding that politics doesn't work after all. And, most depressing, many African - Americans will decide that if even Barack Obama - with all his conspicuous gifts - could not win, then no black man can ever be elected president.
"But what of the rest of the world? This is the reaction I fear most. For Obama has stirred an excitement around the globe unmatched by any American politician in living memory. Polling in Germany , France , Britain and Russia shows that Obama would win by whopping majorities, with the pattern repeated in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America . If November 4 were a global ballot, Obama would win it handsomely. If the free world could choose its leader, it would be Barack Obama.
"The crowd of 200,000 that rallied to hear him in Berlin in July did so not only because of his charisma, but also because they know he, like the majority of the world's population, opposed the Iraq war. McCain supported it, peddling the lie that Saddam was linked to 9/11. Non - Americans sense that Obama will not ride roughshod over the international system but will treat alliances and global institutions seriously: McCain wants to bypass the United Nations in favour of a US - friendly League of Democracies. McCain might talk a good game on climate change, but a repeated floor chant at the Republican convention was "Drill, baby, drill!", as if the solution to global warming were not a radical rethink of the US's entire energy system but more offshore oil rigs.
"If Americans choose McCain, they will be turning their back on the rest of the world, choosing to show us four more years of the Bush - Cheney finger. And I predict a deeply unpleasant shift.
"Until now, anti - Americanism has been exaggerated and much misunderstood: outside a leftist hardcore, it has mostly been anti - Bushism, opposition to this specific administration. But if McCain wins in November, that might well change. Suddenly Europeans and others will conclude that their dispute is with not only one ruling clique, but Americans themselves. For it will have been the American people, not the politicians, who will have passed up a once - in - a - generation chance for a fresh start - a fresh start the world is yearning for.
"And the manner of that decision will matter, too. If it is deemed to have been about race - that Obama was rejected because of his colour - the world's verdict will be harsh. In that circumstance, Slate's Jacob Weisberg wrote recently, international opinion would conclude that "the United States had its day, but in the end couldn't put its own self - interest ahead of its crazy irrationality over race".
"Even if it's not ethnic prejudice, but some other aspect of the culture wars, that proves decisive, the point still holds. For America to make a decision as grave as this one - while the planet boils and with the US fighting two wars - on the trivial basis that a hockey mom is likable and seems down to earth, would be to convey a lack of seriousness, a fleeing from reality, that does indeed suggest a nation in, to quote Weisberg, "historical decline". Let's not forget, McCain's campaign manager boasts that this election is "not about the issues."
"Of course I know that even to mention Obama's support around the world is to hurt him. Incredibly, that large Berlin crowd damaged Obama at home, branding him the "candidate of Europe " and making him seem less of a patriotic American. But what does that say about today's America , that the world's esteem is now unwanted? If Americans reject Obama, they will be sending the clearest possible message to the rest of us - and, make no mistake, we shall hear it."

Don't Be Deceived

Don't be deceived; true Christians are not supporting Obama in this election. However, the opposite would appear to be the case. Articlesofinfo.com reports:
"The Democratic Party's outreach to young people and to people of faith seems to be paying off. A new survey on faith and American politics shows Democratic nominee Barack Obama making inroads among some believers and moving ahead of Republican John McCain among Roman Catholics, largely because of young Catholics' support.
In the biggest shift over the past four years, Senator Obama now wins the backing of 60 percent of voters who attend religious services once or twice a month, a jump from the 49 percent the Democratic nominee won in 2004.
Senator McCain holds the advantage only among the highly religious who attend once or more a week. Moreover, more Americans say Obama is more friendly to religion than is McCain (49 to 46 percent), an image booster for a party long seen as not particularly faith-friendly.
The survey titled "The Young and the Faithful" was released Wednesday by Faith in Public Life and was conducted by Public Religion Research (PRR). It involved interviews with a representative sample of 2,000 Americans and an oversample of 1,250 young people ages 18 to 34."

A careful reading of this report will reveal that Obama is attracting people not committed to their Christian faith. Those that attend services weekly are more likely to vote for McCain. Those that have "added a little religion" to their life like a new coat, are more likely vote for Obama. Isn't it obvious? It is what we have been saying: you CANNOT BE A CHRISTIAN and vote for Obama unless you are just unlearned about the Holy Scriptures. ABORTION IS MURDER! HOMOSEXUALITY IS AN ABOMINATION! Obama supports both; he is not a Christian at heart and neither are his supporters. Pray for our country; pray for Obama's supporters that they will see the truth of the Gospel before they face their judgment day.

Something to Think About

I received this today in my E-Mail and it really caused me to stop and think. I trust it will do that for you. I do want to point out that I think the real cause for this economic disaster is not all the politicians fault; it is that our country moved away from its Christian foundations and embraced secular humanism. The way out of this mess is to go back to where the country went wrong and re-establish America as a Christian nation by repenting of our national sins. Declare abortion murder and homosexuality an abomination. That is the way back and until we do, it is just going to get worse.

"Joe Biden, the Vice Presidential nominee and Democratic senator from Delaware, said recently, “paying taxes is patriotic!”
Now, think of this; he just may be a heartbeat away from the most important job in the nation…wow, that’s pretty scary! Now for more scary stuff…read on!

How many zeros in a billion?,
This is too true to be funny.
The next time you hear a politician use the
word 'billion' in a casual manner, think about
whether you want the 'politicians'
spending YOUR tax money.
A billion is a difficult number to comprehend,
but one advertising agency did a good job of
putting that figure into some perspective in
one of it's releases.
A.
A billion seconds ago i t was 1959.
B.
A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.
C.
A billion hours ago our ancestors were
living in the Stone Age.
D..
A billion dollars ago was only
8 hours and 20 minutes,
at the rate our government
is spending it.
While this thought is still fresh in our brain...
let's take a look at New Orleans ....
It's amazing what you can learn with some simple division.
Louisiana Senator,
Mary Landrieu (D)
is presently asking Congress for
250 BILLION DOLLARS
to rebuild New Orleans . Interesting number...
what does it mean?
A.
Well... if you are one of the 484,674 residents of New Orleans
(every man, woman, and child)
you each get $516,528.
B.
Or... if you have one of the 188,251 homes in
New Orleans , your home gets $1,329,787.
C.
Or... if you are a family of four. ..
your family gets $2,066,012.

How Does A Disciple Of Jesus Christ Live?

In these times of uncertainty, can you think of a more important question than this? If we claim to be followers of Jesus Christ should we not live as He did when He walked the earth? Dallas Willard has written an article and in part he answers this question:

"Living as Jesus’ disciple, I am learning from him how to lead my life in the Kingdom of the Heavens everywhere I am, in every activity I engage in. There are three dimensions of this learning.

First, I am learning to do the things which Jesus explicitly said to do. It is quite literally nonsense to call Jesus “Lord,” and not do what he said. “Lord” means nothing in such a case. (Luke 6:46-49) But because I do accept him as Lord, his instructions on behavior are my treasures for living life. Of course I cannot do what he said by just trying. I must train! I must, through appropriate courses of action, become inwardly transformed by grace to become the kind of person—in my inmost thoughts, feelings, attitudes and directions of will—who will routinely do the kinds of things he said to do. I will then not be governed by anger, contempt or lust. And I will be able to bless those who curse me, love my enemies, and so forth, because I am one in whom the character and power of Christ has come to dwell through the processes of discipleship to Christ.

Second, I am learning to conduct the usual activities of life—in home, school, community, business and government—in the character and power of Christ. Jesus himself, of course, spent most of his life on earth as an “independent contractor” or businessman. Jesus could have led the ordinary life of the ordinary citizen in all of its legitimate respects. He can show us how to live now, as a mother or father, banker or computer programmer, teacher or artist, in the Kingdom of the Heavens. His character and power and personal guidance will lead us into life as it should be in all of these areas of human existence.

Third, I am learning to exercise the power of the kingdom—of Christ in his Word and Spirit—to minister good and defeat evil in all of the connections of earthly existence. “God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and He went about doing good, and healing all who were oppressed by the devil; for God was with Him.” (Acts 10:38) Apprenticeship to Jesus means that, in tiny steps, we learn to exercise this power seen in Jesus. Growth in character is primary, for power requires substance of character if it is to be used for Christ’s purposes. Christ had no character problems, but we do. Prayer, in its aspect of training for Kingdom life, is primarily a matter of learning to exercise power in a way that is both profitable and safe. Through it, in the usual case, we take our first steps in “receiving abundance of grace” and “reigning in life by One, Jesus Christ.” (Rom. 5:17) So character is more important than power for us, but it does not replace power. The fruit of the Spirit (thoroughly Christlike character) flourishes only in a context of regular communal manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit. And this manifest power of the Spirit in life is not something restricted to “church services.” In this matter also, Jesus is our example and our teacher. He acted with the Kingdom wherever he was. The “rivers of living water” which, as he said “shall flow from the center of the believers life” (from his “belly,” John 7:38), will continually flow from us, as it did from him, wherever we may be."

Dr. Willard has provided a good answer to the question. He has combined the confession of discipleship with the action of discipleship. Our speaking words of submission to God are important but so are our actions in living out that confession. There are many good Biblical confessions we can make but they will all be wasted air unless they are accompanied by the action of faith. The action of faith describes the walk with the talk. We need to live as a disciple if we are going to say we are disciples; if we are not going to walk the talk, it would be better to be silent. Too many today talk Christianity but live a life based on human philosophy. Are you a disciple of Jesus Christ? If so, act like it.

Dancing With God

I received this today and thought it contained some good points. While theologically some of the exegesis is suspect, the central message is good. Some times we need to lighten up on the deep things and approach God seeking the simpler things. This short piece does just that. Enjoy!

Dancing With God

When I meditated on the word Guidance,
I kept seeing "dance" at the end of the word.
I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing.
When two people try to lead, nothing feels right.
The movement doesn't flow with the music,
and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky.
When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead,
both bodies begin to flow with the music.
One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back
or by pressing lightly in one direction or another.
It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully.
The dance takes surrender, willingness,
and attentiveness from one person
and gentle guidance and skill from the other.
My eyes drew back to the word Guidance.
When I saw "G: I thought of God, followed by "u" and "i".
"God, "u" and "i" dance."
God, you, and I dance.
As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust
that I would get guidance about my life.
Once again, I became willing to let God lead.

My prayer for you today is that God's blessings
and mercies be upon you on this day and every day.
May you abide in God as God abides in you.
Dance together with God, trusting God to lead
and to guide you through each season of your life.
This prayer is powerful, and there is nothing attached.

Christians Gather On Capitol Hill To Fast and Pray For America

CBN News reported:
Christians are gathering on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. to fast and pray all week.Leaders say they are humbly calling upon God in a time when our country needs it the most. With the upcoming presidential election and the recent financial problems, these believers are asking for God's mercy and divine direction."God is really our only hope," said Katie Mahoney."Now is the time to pray that the right leaders will come," explained Nathan Rummage. The non-partisan prayer group also placed a 16-foot cross on the west lawn of the Capitol building.

These believers have the right idea. Yes; we are to vote and get involved in the political process. However, we must never forget that the most important thing you can do is fast and pray for our nation. Have you prayed for America today? When was the last time you fasted for America? The answers to these questions may in part explain why our nation has left its Christian foundations. However, it is never too late to change; we must begin to fast and pray for America and specifically the November elections. In addition to the Presidential election, there are many seats in Congress that will be decided. Let us commit to fast and pray for revival in our land and for a return to righteousness.

A Cause For Concern Over Medical Ethics

There should be a growing concern in the area of medical ethics. Specifically, when does death occur such as to make organ removal for transplant purposes permissible. Recently, the Washington Post reported: "Pick up a recent issue of the New England Journal of Medicine, and you'll see the far edge of this tortured world. In the journal, doctors at Children's Hospital in Denver describe how they removed hearts from infants 75 seconds after they stopped. The infants were declared dead of heart failure, even as their hearts, in new bodies, resumed ticking." There is a move to redefine "death" so as to make organ transplants more successful. Where is this leading us as a society?

I think it is taking us down a path that is very dangerous. To me this seems very quick to remove a heart. I am aware of hearts ceasing to beat and then restarting outside of a 75 second span. While I do not debate the Biblical propriety of organ transplants, I do urge a point of concern when humans become more valuable for their parts than they do for their whole. It is a small step from this point to a balancing of the value of one life for another with the perceived most valuable receiving body parts from one who is "less valuable." All life is precious to God. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 8:36 which says in part: "all they that hate me love death." Have you ever noticed that it is the anti-God forces that promote abortion and the right to die. Now don't confuse the issue, Biblical conservatives do argue for the death penalty in certain cases. However, this is different; the one being executed has committed an act that requires he or she forfeit their own life. The baby is innocent; the one in a coma is innocent. That is the distinguishing mark of the Biblical worldview; the Christian protects the innocent life while those that hate God love death.

When does death occur? It occurs when the spirit and soul depart from the physical body. When this is verified (through the cessation of brain activity and all that remains is the physical body), organ transplant would seem Biblically permissible based on the command to love our neighbor. Until death can be verified however, the best course of action would be to attempt to heal the sick before their parts are removed.

A Review of Fireproof the Movie

Several years ago a Baptist church in Georgia produced as movie entitled Facing the Giants. It was an excellent movie that contained the gospel message. The same church has now produced Fireproof. It is about a married couple who are facing a divorce. Kirk Cameron plays the fireman husband who is selfish immature and hateful toward his wife. Erin Bethea plays the wife that is about to throw her marriage away because another man shows her some attention. The movie portrays some of the same issues that couples face in real life today. Cameron's father in the movie gives him a book entitled The Love Dare and asks him to take the dare. Kirk does and after he gives his life to Jesus Christ he is really able to love his wife. Of course she eventually sees something different about him and they reconcile. She gives her heart to Jesus Christ and in the end they confirm their marriage vows. The tag line for the movie is "never leave your partner behind."

The crew is almost entirely volunteer. Only 10 received financial compensation. While the movie was being made, there would be groups of supporters nearby on their knees praying for the actors. Kirk and Erin confirm their belief that prayer made the difference in the making of this movie. This is a great movie. I honestly believe it is better than Facing the Giants as good as that was. Christians, both married and unmarried, need to see this movie. It gets 5 stars from me because of the message, the actors spiritual lives (e.g.Kirk insisted that his real wife stand in for Erin when they kiss after they reconcile), the spiritual content, the absence of foul language and that it is obviously very anointed by God. Don't listen to non Christian reviewers, they will only see a fire movie. Producers Alex and Stephen Kendrick, both ordained ministers at Sherwood Baptist Church, have done it again. Go see Fireproof!

Judgment on California?

The Los Angeles Times reported Friday that California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, alarmed by the ongoing national financial crisis, warned Treasury Secretary Henry M. Paulson on Thursday that the state might need an emergency loan of as much as $7 billion from the federal government within weeks.

The warning comes as California is close to running out of cash to fund day-to-day government operations and is unable to access routine short-term loans that it typically relies on to remain solvent.

California has led the way in the mockery of God in the promotion of homosexual "marriages." Every opportunity it gets, California tries to do the exact opposite of traditional Christian family values. All one has to do is look at Hollywood and the majority of the trash it produces along with the pitiful lives of its "stars." Where has it gotten you California? It has brought God's judgment upon you and now you are crying out to another godless entity the federal government. Unless you both repent for the corporate sins, judgment will get worse. God has abandoned you both and the end is certain. Those that mock God may do so a while and "get away with it," but never for forever. God is a God of love; but He is also a God of justice and holiness. It is His justice and holiness that now brings this judgment. Repent or perish!

Abortion is Murder

My good friend Rev. William Hill has made an excellent post on his blog A World of Truth. Please read his Thursday October 2ND post at http://thefaceoftruth.blogspot.com/2008/10/suppression-of-truth-abortion-murder.html

Abortion is murder and the Democratic Party has become the "party of death." Also, he has posted some VERY GRAPHIC abortion videos. If you disagree on the issue of abortion, I challenge you to look at them. Abortion is murder and there are no excuses or justification for the murder of an innocent baby.

Great Quotes to Inspire You

Grab your Bible and get quiet before the Lord. Read these quotes and meditate on Scripture. It is time to pray for America, your church, your family and friends. Evil abounds but God's grace is sufficient to see you through. Enjoy these quotes from men and women of God.

"The preacher who neglects to preach to himself has forgotten a
very important part of his audience. We must first address our own
soul. If we can move that by the words we may utter, we may hope
to have some power with the souls of others." - C.H. Spurgeon

"We manufacture atheists with mundane Christianity." - Robert Wurtz II

"If you ask me if I believe in the eternal security of the believer, I
would say I most certainly do. And I also believe in the insecurity
of the make-believer." - J. Vernon McGee

"Can we go too fast in saving souls? If anyone still wants a reply,
let him ask the lost souls in Hell." - William Booth

"God is the sweetest friend, but the worst enemy."—Thomas Watson

"Beware of a dividing spirit; shun whatever has the least aspect
that way. Therefore say not "I am of Paul, or of Apollos:" the very
thing which occasioned the schism at Corinth. Say not "This is
my preacher, the best preacher in the land; give me him and take
all the rest..." Do not run down any preacher. Do not exalt any
one above the rest, lest you hurt both him and the cause of God."
- John Wesley

"He that is down needs fear no fall, He that is low no pride."
- John Bunyan

"A man full of hope will be full of action."—Thomas Brooks

"We need to weep over the immorality in our homes. We have to
weep and wail that we have broken covenant with God."
- Nancy Leigh DeMoss

"We are playing church. We are so busy trying to be relevant to
the world that we have become just like the world..... AND the
world is not impressed." - Nancy Leigh DeMoss

"There is nothing wrong with the command of God to 'stone the
false prophet!' The problem is that the church has discerned
wrongly and stoned the true prophet! That is why there are no
more true prophets in our days, because as soon as they begin
their ministry, we rub them out. This is the reason that so many
false prophets are running around, not just because it's the end of
the age but because we have disobeyed God, His command, and
killed off His prophets! We are like Herod, who in the midst of
John the Baptist's ministry, chose a wrong time to listen to his
conscience instead of the Holy Spirit!" - G.A. Jarquin

"If you study the Bible without applying it to your daily life, then it
would be better not to study it at all." - Zac Poonen

"'Nobody's perfect.' This is the hypocrite's couch. This is the
believer's bed of thorns." - Al Martin

"I have found that there are three stages in every great work of
God: first, it is impossible, then it is difficult, then it is done."
- James Hudson Taylor

"Self-condemnation is Satan's lie to prevent sinners from repenting."
- Pastor Jan Greenley (paraphrased)

"Surrender fully! Love wholly!"
-Yolanda Diehl

"Give! pour! pray! yield! follow!"

Networks Promote "Religulous" Over "Fireproof"

The movie Religulous is set to open in theaters on October 3rd. Bill Maher is promoting this mockery of religious faith and the networks are helping him."Jesus gave pony rides on dinosaurs." Religion "is a giant elephant in the room of comic gold." These are just two of the pearls that Bill Maher dropped in the course of appearing on all three broadcast networks in little more than 24 hours as reported by www.onenewsnow.com.
He began with an appearance on CBS's Early Show on Monday morning, Sept. 29, then moved to NBC's Late Night with Conan O'Brien in the late hours of Tuesday, Sept. 30, and continued with a mid-morning appearance on ABC's The View. To the contrary, no networks have promoted the new movie Fireproof, which is a faith based film promoting marriage. Onenewsnow reports: "By contrast, none of the networks has devoted time to Fireproof despite its fascinating back-story. Fireproof was made by the Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia, which produced the football-themed Facing the Giants. That 2006 movie cost only $100,000 to make and has brought in $10 million. Fireproof, which stars former Growing Pains star Kirk Cameron, cost less than $1 million and already has recouped the investment several times over. The tale of a firefighter trying to save his marriage, Fireproof was No. 4 at the box office this past weekend and grossed $6.8 million in spite of the fact that it played in only 839 theatres."

It is becoming more and more apparent that we really are pilgrims on foreign soil in America. The faith of our Founding Fathers in America is gone. America is spiritually dead. The liberal media control the flow of information. A Godly political candidate is attacked relentlessly because of her faith. What used to be right is now wrong and what used to be wrong is now considered right. However, we have a standard in the Word of God to cling to; we do not have to give in to sin. We are to make a stand for holiness and righteousness. Separate from evil; do not compromise with the world and proclaim the truth that God's judgment is coming to America. It has started and will continue as long as sin and idolatry are tolerated. The message is to repent and place your house in order. We are to be morally pure irregardless of what our nation promotes. This is a good time to reread the book of Daniel and follow his pattern. Hold fast to the truth and be faithful to the end and God shall deliver us.

The Monday Market Plunge

It is almost too obvious to comment, yet I am compelled to comment on the market plunge on Monday. Yahoo News reported that: "The Dow Jones industrial average lost 777 points Monday, its biggest single-day fall ever, easily beating the 684 points it lost on the first day of trading after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks."

The Stewart Bible School in Scotland has explained the significance of the number 7 as:
"The number seven has deep spiritual significance. It has been held sacred by the Hebrews and other Semite peoples since the dawn of time. It represents perfection and holiness. It is used throughout the Scriptures and in this sense is the Almighty's Number. We read of:
Samson's seven locks of consecration. (Judges 16:13-19)
The seven pillars of wisdom's house. (Proverbs 9:1)
The sevenfold sign of total commitment and dependence (2 Chron. 29: 20-21)
The seven lambs to attest the conclusion of a peace treaty. (Genesis 21:28-30)
The seven fold sprinkling of blood before cleansing was complete. (Lev:16:19)
The seven week count to Pentecost, the seven year count to the sabbatical year and the seven times seven year count to the Jubilee year. (Lev. 23:15, Lev.25:1-9)
The seven candlesticks, seven churches, seven stars, seven seals, seven trumpets, seven thunders, and seven plagues mentioned in the book of Revelation etc."

If 7 is the number of completion, then 777 could be interpreted as the number of the Holy Trinity, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Is this a sign of Divine Judgment? Or is the number a mere coincidence? I suggest to you that God signed His name to the market plunge on Monday. I suggest to you that it is a sign of the coming judgment against America for the national sins of abortion and homosexuality. God's wrath is not talked about much these days as it doesn't produce large offerings. However, the truth is that God is angry at sin. He hates sin so much that He gave His only Son Jesus Christ as an offering for it. Jesus suffered for sin; He died for sin; and He arose again to show victory over sin. America needs to wake up before it is too late. Jesus said in Luke 13:3: "except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." America, except you repent, you will perish. These are somber words for somber times; however, it is the message of the hour.
