Today Barack Obama was sworn in as the 44Th President of the United States. I heard several references to God blessing him and this country. I would like to tell you what was good about today:
1. An African American was elected to the highest office in our land. This proves truly that this is a land of opportunity and dreams.
2. There is a sense of unity and hope once again for our country.
3. I believe President Obama is sincere about his desire to help our country.
4. I believe President Obama will do his best to accomplish his agenda.
Now for what I don't like:
1. I don't like his agenda with regard to his promise to sign the Freedom of Choice Act that will arguably eliminate every abortion restriction in this land that has been fought for since Roe v. Wade. Millions of babies will continue to be slaughtered at record numbers. Just watch.
2. I don't like his stand on gay rights. I think it is absolutely unbiblical. Homosexuality is a sin; however, in fairness, he is not alone in this. He merely follows the platform of the Democratic Party.
3. I am very concerned about our future support of Israel. It is not clear what will happen over the next four years concerning our support of them in the Middle East.
4. His economic plan will turn us into a socialistic nation. He will destroy capitalism in this country.
All that being said, we must pray that God will turn President Obama's heart on these matters. If God doesn't and Obama remains true to his promises, prepare for judgment financially, militarily, socially, and medically; know that much damage will be done. It could take decades to correct and we may not have decades left.
