Salvation Belongs to the Lord Not Man

Below is the video from Granger Community Church (a very "seeker sensitive" church) advertising their Christmas series using some help from Beatles' music to help make this the best Christmas yet. What has happened? Do ministers need to add some "hook" like a salesman to draw a crowd? Is the church so weak and anemic that the Word of God is not sufficient to draw men to God? This is what occurs when salvation is seen as dependent on man as opposed to an act of God. If man is in control, then churches will continue to use tactics such as these to "bring them in." On the other hand, if salvation is from God, then the simple preaching of His Word will be sufficient. Don't expect things to get better if we that know the truth stand by and say nothing. The time is now to preach the entire counsel of the Word of God. Psalm 3:8 says: "Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah." May we be faithful to our calling!
