The Force of Words

Job 6:25 says: "How forcible are right words!" If the followers of YHVH (God) could ever truly grasp the power of words, the world would take notice. You would not have to beg and plead people to come to Yeshua (Jesus). People would be driven to the truth of who He is. His words are spirit and life (John 6:63). Ours should be also. The word "forcible" is the Hebrew word maras and it means "to be sick, painful. It describes a curse as hurtful, pernicious (1 Ki. 2:8); destruction or punishment as painful (Mic. 2:10); words as unsettling, irritating (Job 6:25); an unknown motivation or cause as provoking an argument." Word can hurt. They can bring curses, but they can also heal. Right words spoken from believing hearts can make a difference in our lives. The husband that thinks he is a failure can be revived by a few words from a supportive wife. With her words behind him, he can face the day and obtain a victory. He will be a success because of her words to him. In the same way, a spouse can destroy the confidence of the other by condemning and criticizing them.

Job understood the power of words. David understood the power of words. Certainly, Yeshua knew their power. Everything that is seen was created by words. Our world was created by words. With that knowledge, why do we discount what we say. Our words will make a difference in our lives. Your tomorrow is going to be shaped by your words today. Do you want a better marriage? Speak words of love to your husband or wife. Do you want more money? Confess that you live in abundance and do not lack because Jesus Christ meets your needs according His riches in glory. Do you think you can't succeed? Declare that you can do all things through Christ who gives you strength. Your tomorrow is being shaped today.

Watch your words. Words spoken make a sound. That sound is a vibration and it affects things. Everything around you is composed of atoms and they are moving. Your vibrating words will impact the matter that you encounter. Let your words be pleasing to God and they will eventually be pleasing to man. Shape your tomorrow by speaking success today.
