Settle The Question

You need to settle the issue for yourself that you can be a success even when the world's system is failing. There is a theology that God brings evil and sickness upon you to teach you faith. Would you send cancer to your child to teach him or her a lesson? Are you more righteous than God? However, there is still a place of weeping. You may be there today, or it may be tomorrow. We need to know how to address the issue of being in a valley of suffering. Psalm 84:6-7 in the Amplified Version states: "Passing through the Valley of Weeping (Baca), they make it a place of springs; the early rain also fills [the pools] with blessings. They go from strength to strength [increasing in victorious power]; each of them appears before God in Zion."

Notice the following:
1. There is a place of sorry and sadness that we may pass through.
2. That we can travel through the valley and make it a place of springs. Rain meant that the people would have a harvest. In the valley, you can have a harvest.
3. That in the valley, you can increase in victorious power. This is not a "getting by." This is winning!
4. Finally, there is a blessing in the valley. Based on the harvest and the increase in victory, I don't think this is a place of misery that you convince yourself is a blessing. This is not the place for a "pity party." This is a place of rejoicing.

You need to have a mindset that even if you are in a place of weeping, you will pass through it. While you are there, you can still experience a harvest of blessings. You can have increasing victorious power. You can be blessed even the world's economy is in trouble. God intends to take you through and put you over. If you have the right mindset, correct actions will follow. Remember that thoughts, words, and actions must be consistent.
